As reported in the media:“For those who want to experience the Advent atmosphere with all their senses, the popular event ‘Ice Magic’ at the Summer Stage in Opatija opens its doors. At the heart of the festivities is the ice rink, surrounded by festive stalls and a sea of twinkling lights, all set to the rhythm of cheerful Christmas melodies.”

From the media 2025: Since 2013, Opatija has maintained the tradition of an ice rink during the winter months, and this year’s edition brings progress both in size and in content. The open-air ice rink covers a total of 375 square metres, making it the largest rink ever installed in the city.

Particular attention is drawn to the light tunnel installed above the skating track, equipped with more than 16,000 digital interactive RGB LED pixels. Skaters pass through a dynamic light installation as they skate, making this track unique within Croatia. The space is further shaped by a digital Christmas tree adorned with more than four thousand RGB LED pixels, as well as a new wooden fence with movable posts placed along the skating track, and Arctic has enriched Opatija’s winter fairytale with its wooden folding huts.
